The International American School (IAS)
is looking for
Middle School Math Teacher Programme: Grades 4-8, American High School Diploma Programme (Cognia accredited)
The International American School (IAS) was founded in 1989 as one of the first international schools in Poland. The K-12 school is situated in the leafy suburb of Kabaty and is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Cognia (US accreditation), and the Polish Ministry of Education.
IAS prides itself on a family-like atmosphere with an active Student Council contributing significantly to the school culture. The community is composed of 40+ nationalities and an equal split of female/male students. We strive to instil values of international mindedness and responsibility. Discussion-based classrooms encourage student inquiry and a shared sense of meaning. The school’s over-riding mission is to help students find their own voice and the confidence to pursue activities that enrich the world in a principled and reflective manner.
To reach its goals, IAS promotes student-centered learning with a variety of instructional strategies including Project Based Learning, fieldwork and integration trips, oral presentations, small group project work, display boards in corridors and, above all, critical thinking skills. We understand teachers to be facilitators of learning and therefore discourage a front-end classroom.
In its quest to attain excellence in education, IAS upholds a policy of continued improvement through a rigorous IBO, American, and Polish curriculum. IAS encourages staff and students to cross new boundaries of knowledge and information acquisition, in addition to placing strong emphasis on tolerance and multicultural understanding. We look forward to you joining our team!
